Gabriel Pillay is a seasoned electrical engineer with over 16 years of experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, and electrical engineering. As Managing Director of Tshiamo Engineering, he has played a pivotal role in high-impact projects across solar PV, battery storage, gas-to-power, healthcare, financial institutions, industrial facilities, and smart grid technology.

A registered professional with ECSA and a GBCSA Accredited Professional, Gabriel specializes in transactional advisory, feasibility studies, project management, and compliance-driven energy solutions. His expertise has contributed to the development, evaluation, and procurement of over 10,000MW of renewable and alternative energy projects, shaping South Africa’s energy landscape through key procurement programs such as REIPPPP, RMIPPPP, ESIPPPP, and GASIPPPP.

Beyond energy, Gabriel has led major infrastructure upgrades, overseeing electrical redesigns, standby power solutions, and compliance assessments for 100+ hospitals and over 1,000,000m² of commercial and industrial facilities. His contributions to smart grid advancements and green building certifications further solidify his reputation as a leader in sustainable engineering and energy efficiency.

A Professional Engineering Technologist (PrTechEng, ECSA) with 31 years of experience, Ian specializes in project planning, design integration, and risk management. He has led major projects like the Waterkloof (108MW) Solar PV Farm, Wesley Ciskei Windfarm, and provided engineering oversight on Medupi, Arnot, and Camden Power Plants.

Anton Nel

Electrical Engineering & Compliance Lead

A PrCertEng Electrical Engineer with 30 years of experience, Anton holds an ND in Electrical Engineering, an NHD in Post School Education, and a GCC (Factories). He has served as a Competent Person (GMR 2) for a 150MW Solar Farm and has expertise in MV/LV substation design, motor control centres, and compliance for industrial electrical systems.

A PrTechniEng Mechanical Engineer with 12 years of experience, Lesego has worked as a Technical Advisor, Owner’s Engineer, and Lender’s Technical Advisor on large-scale solar and battery storage projects.
